What Playtto does
The same record or film costs a few euros to tens of euros more or less from shop to shop and week to week, and almost every title comes in several editions: CD and vinyl, black and coloured vinyl, DVD, Blu-ray and 4K, standard or steelbook. Playtto puts the prices side by side. Each title has one page with all its editions, each with its own EAN code.
A price belongs to exactly one edition: we never compare a DVD with the 4K edition, or a coloured LP with the black pressing. We only show shop prices once we have checked them for the exact edition; if the edition is ambiguous, we show no price rather than guess.
Independent
Playtto doesn’t sell anything and isn’t affiliated with the labels, studios and artists on this site. We use their names to describe what is in the catalogue, not to suggest a partnership.
If Playtto later earns money from links to shops or from advertising, this will be stated clearly next to the link or placement concerned. The order of products and prices is not for sale.
Honest about editions
We don’t review albums or films. We show what the label, studio or shop states: the format, the number of discs, the languages and subtitles, and whether it is a remaster, coloured vinyl or a 180 gram pressing. If an edition is an import with other subtitles, or the 4K disc isn’t in every version, we say so.
